Home of Newbury cycling for 100 years

It all started 100 years ago, when a 17-year-old boy placed a local paper advert suggesting local cyclists get together and form a Club. There were plenty of cyclists back then – it just needed some inspiration, motivation and enthusiasm to get it off the ground. The rest, as they say, is history.

In 2025 our Club celebrates a centenary of cycling under the Newbury Road Club banner. The bikes may have changed but the ethos remains. We love getting on our bikes and having fun. The spectacular surrounding landscape is our gym. Good banter lifts our hearts. And the occasional coffee and cake is our fuel.

It’s time to stop looking out the window and ‘thinking about it’. Time to put a stop to riding alone. £25 a year will buy you enough inspiration, motivation and enthusiasm to last 100 years. Come and join us for the ride!
