While Weekly Club Rides are the backbone of the Club’s activities, we also run several Special Events throughout the year. They are now all in one place, here.
On the bike, members can test themselves against different cycling disciplines, longer distances and less familiar routes, but still in the managed and safe environment of a Club Ride. In 2024, in addition to our established ‘Away Days’, we will be running a series of rides of between 80–100 miles starting and finishing in Newbury and new MTB and Gravel Bike rides during the summer. We're also making a welcome return to Mallorca in the Spring (with over 60 members!), a late summer trip to the Dordogne and planning 'LENEW' - Land's End to Newbury -in May.
Off the bike, your social team, Maria, Jo, Lucy, Jan and Maureen have planned a busy programme including guest speakers, stretching, a Summer Solstice ride along with annual events such as our Quizzes, BBQ and Awards evening. We plan to continue supporting community events such as Parkrun too. Keep an eye on this live-page as dates are subject to change and it will be updated as more are added.
