Last Thursday saw the first social event since the pandemic restrictions stopping us getting together were lifted. Obviously it was a great evening, how could you not enjoy yourself at a brewery with wonderful beer and lovely food on offer. The only problem was being able to recognise people without their bikes and not wearing their cycling kit!
Mixed in with all the fun was some serious charity fundraising with a prize raffle draw, with club members generously buying £250 of tickets, the proceeds being split equally between the British Heart Foundation and the Sue Ryder Hospice.
Chris Matthews was on hand to show off the latest club branded kit, hoodies and t-shirts, with samples for people to try on before we take orders for the production run. If you are interested, please contact Chris.
Lots of thanks to Lorraine Murrell for organising the event, I know everyone attending appreciated it from the feedback shared. I think everyone is already looking forward to the next get together at the club BBQ on 22 August...
