Members of Newbury Road Club and other local clubs once again pulled out all the stops for the NRC Boxing Day Time Trial. Although any bikes are welcome, the emphasis is more on fun than speed.
The fancy dress prize went to Hadyn James (BPC) for his Spider-Man costume.
Dan McRobert (Newbury Road Club) won the most unusual bike prize for riding the 10 miles on a Brompton.
Peter Brooke-Wavell (Newbury Road Club) rode on his Raleigh Chopper.
Fastest ride of the Day was George Westall (Royal Airforce Cycling Association) with 23 minutes and 7 seconds on his road bike.
Newbury Road Club’s regular time trial season is scheduled to kick off on Saturday 16 March 2024. The first Wednesday evening race is 3rd April. There are also events on some of the Bank Holiday Mondays. Members and non-members are welcome. Full details of the schedule will be available soon here.
